Socratic Seminars Northwest was founded in the spring of 1995 by Oscar Graybill with the intent of providing professional development opportunities for educators in the form of Socratic Seminar Leadership workshops, trainings, coaching, and consulting. Socratic Seminars Northwest has recently changed to Socratic Seminars International. With professional development programs spanning the United States, and with discussions about providing professional development programs in other countries, it is time to have a name that reflects the scope of its work.
